Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

AOII and the Rho Delta Chapter has given me so many incredible opportunities that have shaped my collegiate experience and adult life. These amazing women I get to call my sisters push me to be the best version of myself, and are the reason why I ran for Chapter President. Coming into this chapter as a transfer from a different school and chapter, I was most worried about this group of women accepting into their lives. When they did I was able to see the amazing bonds that have formed from the start of their experience with AOII. Rho Delta Chapter is home to a fun, studious, and loving women from all over the country who show a tremendous amount of respect for each other, the sorority, and Samford. Though I have only been with this chapter for two years, I have seen the chapter and our members flourish into leaders on campus from winning the Outstanding Involvement Award for Greek Life to Samford Recruitment Team. My favorite activity is watching all of our members come together to raise money for The Arthritis Foundation at our fall and spring philanthropy events like Strike Out Arthritis. Rho Delta is known for our sisterhood, and I can honestly say that it is a unique bond that has changed me for the better.
