Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Welcome to Alpha Omicron Pi! I am so genuinely excited that you are here and so grateful for the opportunity to share what this sisterhood means to me. Joining AOII was one of the best decisions I made during my time at Samford, and it’s a choice I continue to be thankful for every single day. From the very beginning, the warmth, purpose, and authenticity I felt on Bid Day made AOII feel like home. Through this sisterhood, I’ve learned what true, intentional sisterhood really looks like. My sisters have pushed me to grow, encouraged me to be confident in who I am, and supported me through every season, both the joyful and the challenging. Their love for service, leadership, and one another extends far beyond our chapter room and is reflected in the way they show up as leaders, classmates, teammates, and friends across Samford’s campus. AOII has given me friendships I know will last a lifetime, the kind of friends who say yes to fun, spontaneous adventures for no reason at all, but who (more importantly) also sit beside you in the quiet, hard moments. These women have seen me at my best and my lowest, and they have loved me through it all. I am constantly inspired by the confident, kind, ambitious, and genuine women who surround me. Being part of Alpha Omicron Pi is an honor, and I am so excited for you to experience the same sisterhood that has shaped me in ways I’ll forever cherish.
